I call myself the city girl in this country world..

 

I started riding when I was 9 years old. Every since that day, i was hooked, which can be the same story for many. A friend once told me there is a difference between a horse girl, and an equestrian...I am a riding instructor, a trainer, an equine massage therapist...I am an equestrian.

Now don't get me wrong, I love makeup, jewelry, and dresses, but I am not afraid to get down and dirty and clean some sheaths with my bare hands. Everyone knows that horses, and everything that comes with this sport, leads to some dirt on your jeans, and mud on your boots. But that doesn't mean we can't get glammed up in any way possible.

This journey, like most of us know, isn't an easy one. I must question myself at least once a day if this is the right path for me. But there are moments in the day that i fall in love with it all over again, and it reminds me that I am still starting out, and my dreams and goals are too big and beautiful to give them up.

​

So how did I start this little business of mine? Well, we all know that feeling of walking into a tack store, and just being in our element. The smell of leather, the feel of brand new sheepskin girths and pads, and the sight of beautiful helmets, show shirts and coats. Our pupils dilate, our hearts start beating fast, and sometimes our minds just shut off and we loose all control. But all beautiful tack comes with a price! This was something that i just couldn't accept, there had to be a way to have my cake and eat it too. Getting into leather working just opened the door to so many possibilities. Being able to learn the trade, and develop the skills necessary to create usable tack was just the beginning. So my goal was to create beautiful tack at an affordable price for all to enjoy!

 

Anyone who knows me, knows very well that i am no stranger to the appeal of shiny and beautiful things. Seeing something glimmer in the sunlight brings a certain warmth to my heart, and the voice in my head says "I need that". So why not combine 2 of the greatest things in the world? In the show world, if you look great you feel great, and if you feel great, you will do great (at least that's how I think). So why not be the girl shining bright in the arena, dancing in the dressage square, and soaring high over the jumps.
